I have always wanted to learn and practice Linux, so I installed the dual-boot version of Linux and erased it, then installed the virtual machine version of Linux and deleted it, and then connected to the cloud version of Linux and disconnected it. Every time I tried different versions of Linux installation, I spent a whole day to google the install guides and use cases on the Internet.
I believe that my wondering was not wasteful because I have learned a lot during the googling. Now I am allowed exploring diverse flavors of Linux in less than 15 minutes. Here is the step-by-step guide.
1. We need Windows 10. Absolutely!
2. Use the search box on your bottom-left on your monitor.
Search for “Turn Windows features on or off”. Probably this is the most difficult step in the post :).
If you succeed, you will see the window with lots of checkboxes. Some are checked or boxed and others are unchecked. Your job is to find the “Windows Subsystem for Linux” item and make it checked. It might require you to reboot, then just do it.
3. Go to Microsoft Store.
Search for “Linux”. You can see various versions of Linux available on your fingertip. Now you are done! Install any of these and learn!!!
